Football Fans Get a First-Hand Taste of the Action in New Coral Campaign

Today, Coral launched its latest brand film, which celebrates all football fans - from the armchair experts to the passionate pensioners- using broader culture to bring the world to life.
"The Tunnel", created by creative agency Wonderhood Studios, opens on a rainy pitch side, alive with the chants of onlookers in the stands. The camera focused on the player’s tunnel, as a cross section of football fans start to emerge from the darkness; shirtless fans, armchair experts, football fashionistas and passionate pensioners making their way out onto the pitch – game faces on, Coral’s free reward shaker in hand! The ad ends with the fans in a classic football line up before the camera zooms out closing on an aerial view of the pitch.
This newest campaign continues Coral’s tonal shift as part of its ‘We’re Here For It’ brand platform which seeks to put fans first and connect with audiences in a more humorous way. The 30” spot was filmed at Red Star Belgrade’s stadium in Serbia and used over 100 extras to achieve the full range of fans seen. More work celebrating football fans is expected to be driven through the line and across Coral’s social channels.
This is the second campaign delivered for Coral by Wonderhood Studios since they were appointed as lead agency last September. The accompanying media campaign was planned and executed by long-term partners the7Stars.
The ads will run on TV, video-on-demand, and radio, with media for the campaign planned and bought by the7stars. Entain Creative, Coral’s new -in-house creative agency, will be responsible for planning social and digital.

The ad was directed by Glenn Kitson from Iconoclast who has previously worked with brands including Nike, Berghaus and ITV.
