Anneliese St-Amour Joins AMV BBDO as Managing Partner
Sep. 28, 2022
AMV BBDO CEO has appointed Anneliese St-Amour as Managing Partner. She will join the managing partner team alongside Alex Bird, Alice Kassapian, Nick Andrew, Richard Moloney and Tom Shattock.
St-Amour joins AMV from Ogilvy after nearly ten years running a large part of the global Dove account, where she had the opportunity to drive the creative agenda and grow the business. Under her leadership, the team has won several awards, including a 2018 Euro Effie and a 2020 Global Effie for Dove Deodorants’ The Big Switch.
At AMV BBDO, she will lead the Bacardi and Rexona accounts.
AMV BBDO CEO Sam Hawkey said:
"Anneliese has spent the last two decades building and growing some of the world's most famous brands so we are absolutely delighted to have her join AMV. She brings with her a potent mix of fresh perspective, tons of experience and she also happens to be lovely to boot”.
She started in the postroom of Bates Dorland, before being quickly promoted into account management, working on brands such as Energizer and Evening Standard. A move to Ogilvy & Mather started her global brand journey, spending several years working on Ford, American Express and BP. In 2007, St-Amour spent a year in Australia working at agencies BMF and George Patterson Y&R before returning to the UK to lead the Kraft Foods account at JWT (now WundermanThompson), and Sony and Vodafone at Grey.
Anneliese St-Amour was then invited back to Ogilvy to work on the Unilever business, and she was soon running the global Dove deodorants and hair categories.
Anneliese St-Amour said:
"It’s been impossible to work in advertising over the last 20 years without being in awe of AMV and the amazing work they do, setting the benchmark for creativity within the industry. I'm delighted to join and build on this legacy, creating insightful work that has radical empathy at its heart, and that truly makes a difference in society."
