Banjoman Signs Internationally Renowned Director Henry Littlechild

Mar. 28, 2022

Award-winning director Henry Littlechild has joined Banjoman for commercial representation in Ireland.

Early on in his career, Henry caught the attention of The Viral Factory, market leaders in viral marketing, with whom he co-directed multiple projects with great success: virals for Ford Ka were seen by over 30 million people and won several awards, including a Silver BTAA and Young Guns Bronze. He has since gone on to work with a whole host of agencies across Europe, such as AMV BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi, Fallon, Leo Burnett, MullenLowe, Grey, Ogilvy, Scholz & Friends and TBWA.

Now an internationally renowned director, Henry has crafted his own distinct style, crossing live-action, VFX, animation, puppetry and CGI post-production techniques to create delightful comedy performances. Henry has showcased his particular talents for constructing CG characters when designing a savvy tabby for Vanquis’ ‘Walk Tall’, a bumbling bear for Samsung’s ‘ASMR’, and an endearing Einstein for Smart Energy’s ‘Einstein Knows Best’, among countless others.

Henry Littlechild comments:

“I’m so excited to join Banjoman and discover all that the Irish market has to offer. I’ve been really impressed by the work and the team’s continual drive and ambition, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together. It’s great to be a part of such a talented roster of directors.”

Matt D’Arcy, Head of Production at Banjoman Films, adds:

“We’d admired Henry for a long time, being not only a great commercial director who’s worked with some of the biggest brands in the world, but also one with world-class VFX expertise, particularly when it comes to CG characters. This was an area we felt could be strengthened at Banjoman, especially at a time when beautiful VFX scripts are increasingly coming out of Ireland, so we are excited to bring Henry on board and have him bolster our offering. His signing embodies our ongoing ambition to progress creatively and add depth to our talent. Though he joins exclusively for commercial representation, we look forward to supporting him in all his creative endeavours.”
