Blocket Wants You to Quit Your Job
Sep. 05, 2023
The first weeks back after summer holiday, complaining becomes as common in Swedish workplaces as coffee machines and printers. Which is why Blocket is trying to get people to find their new job via the online marketplace in a new campaign.
The two films are set in the canteen of an amusement park and at a Medieval beheading, respectively, which makes for a couple of absurd and dry-witted spots directed by Kasper Haggstrom and produced by Bacon with Volt as the agency.
Lisa Granberg Gille and Alexandra Arvidson, Creatives at Volt said:
"In a recession, many people hold tightly to their positions. That's why we've had to put in a considerable effort to make sure Blocket Jobb is top of mind the day people actually contemplate a job change. Unexpected, fun, and playful, have been our guiding principles throughout the entire process from strategy to film."
Kasper Haggstrom said:
"As a director I'm constantly asking myself if life would be easier if I chose another path. And as a half swede I'm constantly wondering how it would be to work with full swedes. After working with Volt on this project my conclusions are: Probably not and Great."
