Brandon Hires David Estrada to Serve as Associate Creative Director

Dec. 18, 2025

Brandon, the independent, full-service, integrated marketing agency, has hired David Estrada to serve as Associate Creative Director.

Estrada brings 14 years of diverse experience across journalism, filmmaking, advertising, global content production, creative storytelling and leadership to his role. He joins Brandon from Cargo, Greenville, South Carolina, a B2B agency where he worked his way up from project manager to Director of Content Production and Executive Producer. He managed global productions, produced award-winning campaigns and helped elevate global brands like Lenovo, Microsoft, GE, and Mercedes-Benz with emotionally driven and strategically precise creative work. His high-profile campaigns included the launch of Lenovo’s ThinkBook brand in the “Do the Unthinkable” campaign.

Austin Scott, Chief Creative Officer, Brandon said:

“David doesn’t just bring talent—he brings layers of knowledge, experience and strategy. Because he has worked as a producer, photographer and director, he understands craft. As a strategist, he sees the bigger picture. That rare blend of creativity and insight makes him a force multiplier for our team.”

Estrada’s career began in Texas, where he worked overnight shifts as an editor and photographer at the ABC news affiliate in Waco while studying at the University of Texas, Austin. He moved on to work as a production intern at both R/GA Austin and at Morgan Freeman’s Revelations Entertainment, Los Angeles. He founded a production company, a creative collective where filmmakers, web developers, designers, composers and writers produced content for a variety of clients.

At Brandon, Estrada’s responsibilities include both hands-on and management of photo and video production and collaborating on the creative development of client campaigns.

Estrada is passionate about connecting brands with culture, in mentoring talent and for creating work that earns attention for the right reasons.

Estrada said:

"I wanted to be part of an agency that prioritizes creativity above everything else. The work coming out of Brandon and the recent brand refresh made it clear that this is a place that values bold thinking and big ideas."

In addition to his industry skillset, Estrada’s life journey has equipped him with invaluable experience and hard-earned wisdom. More than a decade ago, a spinal injury left him temporarily paralyzed, and he needed a year to learn how to walk again. In 2025, Estrada completed a 225-mile paddle through the Grand Canyon, for which he spent six years of preparation.

Scott added:

"That kind of grit and perseverance is exactly what makes him such a great fit for our team."
