Director-Driven Production Company RESET Welcomes EP Michael Garza
Oct. 12, 2021
Michael Garza, an Executive Producer known for his tactical expertise and passionate creative process, has joined the leadership at RESET.
Michael is an award-winning Producer who relocated from NYC to Los Angeles and signed on as Executive Producer with RESET. This collaboration launched with a series of productions for acclaimed directors Yann Demange, Joseph Kosinski, Ian Pons Jewell, as well as a bespoke project for the LA RAMS with Academy Award-winner Wally Pfister.
“RAMS HOUSE” is a cinematic :90 second film that honors the diversity of the Angelino fans and the high energy RAMS football team. The film plays on the stadium’s 70,000 square foot Infinity Screen, innovatively-designed by Samsung, which is the first and only 4K end-to-end videoboard in sports.
Wally Pfister states:
“Each scene was specially crafted in 20:1 native resolution for arguably the largest screen on the planet. Michael is a rare creative partner who puts storycraft first, then reverse engineers the production details into a pristine methodology. It was a real hands-on collaboration that streamlined the creative and technical process.”
With a career that includes deep experience in content creation, live action, visual effects and design, Michael is known as an unselfish ethical leader, who influences change and executes relentlessly. At RESET, Michael found matching values in the profound kinship and a spirited dedication; the through-line to every aspect of the company.
Fellow RESET EP Jen Beitler explains:
“When considering our EP expansion, we quickly found that Michael is native to the way we work, providing holistic experience, support, and inspiration exactly when needed.”
Michael Garza brings this boundless enthusiasm and experience to his new EP role at RESET, a production company with premiere talent conversant in both short and long-form media.
Michael, who previously enjoyed tenures at both Psyop and Serial Pictures, says:
“I have had the pleasure of working among some of the best talent in the industry. Each person at RESET -- directors, producers, and staff -- has a special superpower that makes them shine, but what makes this role unique is the fellowship in this ensemble which translates into a wonderful co-creative process and works that are truly indelible.”
