Working alongside stateside/US partners Union Editorial, Tim Thornton-Allan has edited an emotional spot “Covid Cares” for LifeBridge Health Directed by Tyler DeAngelo ECD at StrawberryFrog NY and shot by photographer Joshua Cogan in real time after front line team members came off their shifts. The 60-second film honours the sacrifices staff make at one of LifeBridge Health’s Baltimore-area hospitals and celebrates the real heroes who under the masks and protective gear are the ones who care bravely.
Here’s a quick glimpse at the live shoot and editing workflow adopted by director Tyler and MSE.TV’s Editor Tim Thornton-Allan.
Tim Thornton-Allan, Founder / Editor, MSE.TV, said:
“The shoot was great; it was just like being on set. We were all online and with live access to the photographer’s camera and laptop. Then as soon as the shoot finished, we switched seamlessly into remote editing with live streaming which made the editing process extremely agile and responsive.”
Tyler DeAngelo, ECD / Director, StrawberryFrog, said:
“Over the last few months, I've worked with Tim and his team on several projects. Despite the limitations of Covid, he has developed a very innovative workflow that allows us to be on virtual productions together and gives the creatives and myself the ability to edit live as if we are in the editing room together. After this experience, I can't imagine working any other way.”
