Fried Chicken All Night Long: KFC Ditches Doors to Satisfy Round-the-Clock Cravings

Jan. 31, 2025

In a move that literally leaves nothing in the way of late-night cravings, KFC—together with TBWA\RAAD—has done the unthinkable: removed the doors from its restaurants. Dubbed “KFC Out-Doors”,  this disruptive campaign redefines what it means to be open 24/7 by turning formerly locked doors into eye-catching billboards celebrating KFC’s new around-the-clock service.

For decades, shut doors signaled the end of the day for businesses worldwide. But as KFC steps into a new era of non-stop fried chicken, those very doors have become symbols of its dedication to serving customers any time, day or night. Each removed door has been transformed into an Out-Of-Home installation, featuring cheeky messages like “Who needs doors when you never close?” and playful QR codes with map directions that lead customers to the nearest KFC—no matter the hour.

Ahmed Arafa, Chief Marketing Officer for KFC MENAPAKT & CIS said:

“For us, going 24/7 isn’t just a promise—it’s a commitment to always be there when our fans crave that signature KFC taste. Late night is an occasion where we stand out and we’re intentional about going after this occasion and ensuring our doors are open for those last night cravings. By literally removing every barrier to entry, we’re showing that KFC is open to everyone, anytime. It’s an open-door policy—minus the doors.”

Joe Lahham, Managing Director at TBWA\RAAD added:

"We’ve all seen 24/7 campaigns before, but we wanted to truly disrupt and resonate. Removing the doors is more than a stunt—it’s a powerful statement that KFC never closes. By turning these doors into billboards, we aim to spark conversations, drive real traffic to KFC restaurants, and remind everyone that when we say ‘always open,’ we mean it."

With the KFC Out-Doors campaign rolling out across the city, fans can look forward to spotting the repurposed restaurant doors everywhere from busy intersections to popular hangouts. Each installation offers a QR code redeemable for a free product at nearby 24/7 KFCs—because at KFC, closing time is now a thing of the past.
