Gerety Awards Canadian Jury Meet to Define Global Shortlist

May. 30, 2024

The Executive Jury for Toronto for Gerety Awards 2024 met last Monday in an “arty” jury session, at The Local Gallery.

Join the Gerety jury insight panels as they discuss trends and favourite campaigns from the 2024 Gerety Awards, discover why the shortlisted works were chosen, reserve your spot here.

Commenting on the jury session, Kaitlin Doherty, Founder, President of the Local Collective said:

"We had a fantastic day judging some incredible work from all over the world. I'll never take for granted the opportunity to pause a normal day to review, discuss and debate creative works that people, agencies, brands and production teams have poured all their passions into. It takes so much to make a great campaign run, and when you are reviewing award show work you are spoiled with how deeply the passion runs through our industry. The jury discussion was really thoughtful, smart, insightful and a lot of fun. At the end of the day I left feeling like I learned some more about our craft from some of the smartest brains in Canada, and that is a great feeling."

Moderated by Emma Johnston-Wheeler, journalist at Campaign Canada, the panel includes:

  • Alexis Bronstorph, Chief Creative Officer, No Fixed Address
  • Marie Lunny, Partner, Managing Director, Rethink
  • Kaitlin Doherty, Co-Founder and President, The Local Collective
  • Holly Rowden, Partner/Ex Producer, alfredofilms

The shortlist will be revealed on Tuesday, June 11th and celebrated with the usual VIP BBQ in Cannes the week after.
