International Production Company HAMLET Have Signed Director Daniel Lundh
Mar. 09, 2023
International production company HAMLET have signed director Daniel Lundh to their roster for representation in Belgium, Holland, China and France.
Daniel creates films in a variety of styles but his most noticeable trademark is his eye for observational comedy. His bold comedic work is elevated through brilliantly observed performances, attributed to his obsession with casting and openness to improvisation.
Swedish born Daniel started shooting shorts and skateboard films on a Hi-8 as a teenager. He has dabbled with animation and even worked for iconic creative powerhouse SNASK diving deep into art direction and stop motion. A stint at ACNE and BLECK opened the door to live action, and he has never looked back.
Daniel’s directing epiphany came when shooting his short film "People In Cars" when he realised that his heart was in live action, and in particular, comedy. "People in Cars" gained widespread recognition and landed him the prestigious Vimeo staff pick. It was screened at numerous festivals and national television in both Sweden and Portugal. He is currently developing a series based on his short film.
HAMLET Co founder and Executive Producer, Jason Felstead, said:
"Daniel’s style of directing is unconventional, and I would even say progressive in a way. Besides that, he sets his stories in an environment where the comedy is supported by a great sense of style and aesthetics that match the Hamlet style perfectly. I’m keen on working with him, in fact we’ll shortly be launching our first work we did together."
Daniel added:
"My heart beats for comedy. No matter how much paint you have, you can't beat a great performance. Joining Jason and Ruben and the team at HAMLET perfectly matches my style of film and way of working".
