Jul. 11, 2025

Ogilvy Spain has today announced a new phase of collaboration across their Madrid and Barcelona agencies. Jordi Urbea, previously CEO of Ogilvy Barcelona, will become CEO of Ogilvy Spain to work alongside Chief Creative Officer Roberto Fara who will continue to drive creative excellence. Together, Urbea and Fara will lead Ogilvy Spain combining the specialisms of the Madrid and Barcelona offices. This comes as Marta Gutiérrez, CEO of Ogilvy Madrid, has left to pursue a new venture.

Madrid and Barcelona are market leading in creativity and technology respectively. The centralised leadership will ensure Ogilvy Spain’s focus on technology and creative ambition will accelerate growth across Spain in all disciplines, including Advertising, Experience, PR, Content, Influence, Health, Events and Consulting.

Patou Nuytemans, CEO, Ogilvy EMEA said:

“Marta will be hugely missed and we wish her all the best as Ogilvy Spain embarks on an evolution of its own. Under Jordi and Roberto’s remarkable leadership, we will start a renewed focus on combining Madrid’s creative pedigree with Barcelona’s best-in-class approach to CRM to help clients unlock new ways to grow and win new audiences.”

Jordi Urbea, CEO, Ogilvy Spain said:

"I have been a privileged witness to our evolution, and my commitment to this agency is unwavering. Now, alongside Roberto unifying Ogilvy Spain’s talents, our mission is to enhance collaboration between Madrid and Barcelona to drive our clients' growth and consolidate our market leadership. Marta Gutiérrez has been a driving force in Madrid. We wish Marta every success and thank her for her passion and dedication over the years."

Roberto Fara, Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy Spain said:

"We are at a historic and unique moment for the agency, with a clear and shared ambition. And Ogilvy Spain’s new combined leadership between the CEO and CCO proves we are committed to what has always defined us: creativity and teamwork. We will miss Marta greatly – as a leader, but above all as a person."

In addition, Álvaro Domínguez, current Chief Financial Officer (CFO), will become the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Ogilvy Spain, Luis Riva, Chief Growth Officer, Victoria Rodríguez, Chief People Officer (CPO), Elvis Santos, Chief PR & Influence Officer, and Daniel Rodríguez-Arias, Chief Operating Officer of Ogilvy in Barcelona. The new structure will aim to continue fostering collaboration and enhance the impact of work across the market and will be detailed in September.
