Jung von Matt and Beiersdorf Make a Strong Statement for All Women with Career Ambitions
Mar. 09, 2020
For 99 years now, International Women's Day on March 8th has stood for the independence, emancipation and equal rights of all women. Despite the many positive developments, there are current and sobering statistics which show that women still play a subordinate role among management positions in German companies in 2020. In a 2019 list of common first names of German executives, "Katja" is ranked 61st – all before her are men.
It is high time to change that, says Beiersdorf. They have set themselves the goal, under public scrutiny, of filling every second top management position with a woman. To draw attention to this pledge, the company developed an online film together with Hamburg’s storytelling agency Jung von Matt/SAGA, conceived to move viewers and provoke thought.
The film addresses the problem with an honest charm and calls everybody, who is able to help, for support in helping Beiersdorf achieve its goal.
