Truant London & Brother Film are Giving Away a Clean Energy ad for FREE
Jul. 17, 2024
Old Wives’ Tales, directed by Truant Creative Directors Charlie Lindsay & George Bartlett (a.k.a Dirty Blonde), is a dark film with a bright green message about the power of wind energy.
And here’s the best part, they’re giving it away to a green energy company absolutely FREE. No catches. No T&Cs. Truant and Brother Film just wanted to make a film that would do some good, and gift it to a good company.
The film features a tortured soul giving a mysterious monologue about Old Wives’ Tales. The things he’s tried. The myths he’s debunked. Before getting to the one thing he wishes he’d never tried… Pulling a funny face when the wind changed.
Creative Directors Charlie Lindsay & George Bartlett said:
“Our friend, and insane director of photography, Luke Dryden said he wanted to make a commercial with us. Obviously we were well up for it. And a few hundred unrealistic ideas later, we landed on a script for a green energy company. The trouble was we didn’t have a green energy client. So we just thought sod it, let’s make the film and then give it away for free! And it just sort of grew from there. Regardless of whether we can get someone to run it, it’s been a great experience working with some mega talented people. To any green brands watching, if you want it - it’s yours.”
