Oct. 26, 2022
Animation collective BRUT, signed to international production company 1stAveMachine today announce the signing of directing duo Bounty/Banana. The new talent launches with an epic visual journey of fast paced live action and animation for promo short, InTENsity.
InTENsity is about two dynamic creatives in search of a trailblazing logo which reflects their vision of creative intensity. We are then taken on a rollercoaster ride on an unconventional journey through Paris to find the logo which finally embodies their creative ethos.
Created to celebrate the duo’s 10 year anniversary of working together, the production of InTENsity was co-produced by animation collective BRUT who are signed to 1stAveMachine globally. As well as creating commercial projects as a multidisciplinary collective, BRUT channel a percentage of profits to invest in their talent’s personal projects by providing the resources needed to create the project such as designers, directors, producers, animators, post, editing and sound.
Martin Allais, founder of BRUT and Director commented:
"As our directing talent grow, so does BRUT and we like to support them back with all the resources they need to research and develop their most authentic ideas. Because when they grow, so do we."
Steven Briand, one half of Bounty/Banana said:
"InTENsity is an homage to 10 years of collaboration. We wanted this film to embody us, our faces, bodies, looks, origins, inspiration, passions, skills, friendships and our underlying bromance…everything Bounty/Banana".
Julien Jourdain de Muizon, one half of Bounty/Banana added:
"After various projects, both commercial and personal, we decided to focus on a film where we explore our creativity with maximum freedom, where we work with people we love, and where we end up with a film that looks like us."
Bounty/Banana are Steven Briand & Julien Jourdain De Muizon who met during their student years at l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratif (EnsAD) in Paris. Since then, they have been exploring creative ways to tell stories, which led them to work primarily in the advertising world. They have worked for internationally renowned clients, such as Hermès, Veuve Clicquot, Playstation, Post-it, Air Berlin and more. The duo have also worked on tv series for France Televisions and Canal +, notably with their show Supa Supa, that gathered more than 1.8 million views worldwide, as well as for Viceland Party Legends, reaching over 10 million.
