6 Months in and Lots of Bread, a Bigger thanks and a Huge You're Welcome
Sep. 23, 2025
Following the successful launch of its Bigger Slice campaign in Spain this summer, Bimbo is bringing the idea to Portugal with a fresh chapter titled “You’re Welcome.”
What began as a simple product story — “a new bread, a new size” — has evolved into a playful concept that reframes the everyday with humor and irony. Instead of showcasing the bread itself, the campaign highlights what disappears faster when there’s more of it: cheese, cold cuts, jams, or tuna. Absence becomes proof of presence, and with a cheeky “You’re Welcome”, the Bigger Slice becomes a bigger story.
Javier Martínez, Creative Director said:
“For us, the joy of this campaign isn’t in showing bread—it’s in showing perspective. The Bigger Slice didn’t need a louder message, it needed a sharper one. Letting the bread speak to its companions gave us the chance to bring humor into an everyday ritual, and that’s where creativity really feeds culture.”
Pablo Fernández, Creative Director, added:
“What excites me most is that it’s conceptual but still warm. It makes you smile first, then realize the idea behind it. And because it connects so well with Portugal’s culture of sharing meals, it feels real and human, not just a visual trick.”
Six months in and across two countries, Bigger Slice continues to prove that even the most ordinary products can inspire extraordinary creativity.
A Bigger Slice, a bigger thanks—and a huge You’re Welcome.
