Above+Beyond hires Rapha Campos as Creative Director
Apr. 26, 2017
Above+Beyond has bolstered its creative team by appointing Rapha Campos as its first Creative Director.
Campos brings a wealth of experience to Above+Beyond. Prior to joining the agency he held the position of Creative Director at AKQA London and, in his 16 years in the industry, has built and run widely respected creative teams at R/GA London and Fallon, as well as working as Global Creative Director for Nike Running.
Above+Beyond’s most senior creative hire to date, Campos is an accomplished film-maker, photographer and entrepreneur in his own right. Hailing from Brazil, he is a perfect fit for Above+Beyond which looks to cultivate a culture of creative entrepreneurship by hiring talent from the worlds of advertising, film, PR, music and brand.
Reporting directly to agency founder and Executive Creative Director David Billing, Campos will work across all key agency accounts including Amazon, Betway, Meantime and Ornua Foods.
David Billing said:
“Rapha is a creative with real soul. He invests everything in the work, and as much again into the people that make it. As well as his conceptual and strategic strengths, he’s a great stylist too and an accomplished director and photographer. As we continue to build our own in-house production capabilities, Rapha offers us a quantum leap in our offering.”
Rapha Campos said:
“It’s an incredible honour to partner with Dave and chief executive Zaid Al-Zaidy in shaping the future of Above+Beyond. Their enthusiasm was contagious and I’m ready to bring in my own dose of free-flowing energy. We have a clear vision on how to create smart teams and generate world class ideas and I can’t wait to craft this future into reality.”
