Ad of the Day | Ford Launches "Born in a Ford" Real Stories from the Unexpected Delivery Room

May. 11, 2026

The delivery room no one expects? The back of an ambulance. For thousands of families each year, that’s exactly where life begins.

With its new campaign, “Born In A Ford,” launching on Mother’s Day, Ford celebrates the mothers and first responders at the center of these extraordinary, life-changing moments.

As the trusted leader in first responder vehicles, Ford is present when these unexpected births occur. Instead of focusing on the vehicle itself, Ford took a different approach: telling the stories in the most human way possible, through the voices of the mothers and first responders who lived them.

“Born In A Ford” features Chicago mother Christie Edwards, who gave birth to her daughter in an ambulance, and EMT Rich Fink, who helped bring new life safely into the world. A docu-style film captures their unscripted experiences, bringing viewers inside these powerful moments.

The campaign was designed to push beyond traditional product messaging—capturing the emotion, humanity, and real-life impact behind these emergency moments and the people at the center of them. Plus, Ford’s trusted capability and dependability are most powerfully reflected in the extraordinary stories of babies born in a Ford ambulance.

Ford is deeply grateful for the dedication of our first responders. Through its Recognition Program, Ford offers a First Responder Rebate on eligible new Ford and Lincoln vehicles as a thank you for their service.

Michael Cope, Senior Director of Consumer Marketing, Ford Motor Company said:

“Like other stories we’ve told this year—Bronco Search & Rescue and American Value for American Values—this campaign highlights an authentic narrative of how Ford empowers human capability. It’s about the trust and reliability Ford represents in life’s most pivotal moments—a powerful testament to the capability of our vehicles and the incredible work of first responders. Telling real stories connect on a deeply human level. I am proud of how this campaign represents what Ford has been doing in American communities for over a century.”

Jason Xenopoulos, Global Chief Creative Officer, WPP | Ford said:

'"Born In A Ford” is a truly human story that no other brand can tell. It captures how Ford’s unique capabilities play a role in some of the most meaningful moments in any family’s journey. It is a celebration of the brave mothers who bring new life into the world every day, and the first responders who are there to support them. We are proud to tell their story.
