Within the framework of the National Organ Donation Day commemorated on May 30, the Argentine Liver Transplant Foundation presents its new awareness campaign.

"Match" is a love story in modern times that seeks people awareness of the importance of being organ donors and the increase in the number of donors in Argentina. The script was written by Beto Cocito, Creative VP of the Rock agency and directed by Nico Pérez Veiga from Primo Production Company.

The Argentine Foundation for Liver Transplantation works intensively on raising awareness, education, and dissemination of the importance of Organ Donation, a theme that affects us all as a society.

Beto Cocito, who in addition to this story, also created“ The Man and the Dog ”, a spot for the Foundation that went viral globally in 2015, says:

Donating organs is an act of love for others, but to make a transplant possible it is essential that the organs are compatible. That is why we wanted to relate how difficult it is to juggle with someone in these times of dating apps, with how difficult it is for organs to be compatible. And it is precisely for this reason that so many donors are needed.

For his part, Dr Horacio Aziz, president of the Foundation, comments:

Through this campaign we once again feel the need to celebrate the commitment on an issue that involves all of us, organ donation. Every day thousands of people look forward to the possibility of achieving a transplant to continue living. Celebrating the commitment is a way of being empathetic with all those for whom transplanting is their last and only chance in life. This beautiful story shows us that everyone can be a donor and we can all be in need of a transplant to continue living “.

The Argentine Liver Transplant Foundation is a non-profit organization that has been in operation for 23 years. The institution houses and covers the basic needs of seriously ill people in the interior of the country, without resources or social coverage, who must stay in Buenos Aires for a period.

Dr. Aziz concluded:

Both in Argentina and in the rest of the world, the number of diseases for which transplanting is the last and only possibility of continuing to live is increasing. The number of patients on the waiting list has grown disproportionately in relation to the number of donors available. The only existing way to offer this opportunity to life to countless people is by making all of us aware it is much more likely that any of us is on a waiting list for any of the organs that are transplanted, than having the opportunity to be real donors. This is what marks the need to commit ourselves to a cause that has more to do with life than with death”.
