Artclass Adds Comedy Director Quinn Katherman
May. 14, 2025
Next-gen production studio ArtClass has added comedy director Quinn Katherman to its roster of award-winning talent. Known for her sharp eye and offbeat sensibility, Quinn draws on her background as an agency creative and amateur improviser to direct fearless performances that are as strange as they are stylish.
Before joining ArtClass, Quinn was represented by Prettybird, where she continued to develop her signature approach: stylish visuals, laugh-out-loud moments, and truth-based performances. Her path to directing began on the agency side, where she served as a writer and Creative Director at Barkley, Arnold, and CP+B, working on campaigns for Progressive, Hotels.com, Twizzlers, Icebreakers, and PUR. What started as a decision to direct social content for a client quickly snowballed into a full-fledged directing career.
Intent on closing the gap between storyteller and viewer, Quinn’s work lands precise moments with cinematic panache and punchlines that hit. Known for crafting sharp, witty dialogue served up via hilarious performances grounded in truth, Quinn prides herself on being an actor’s director, building safe, collaborative sets where on-camera talent feels free to make weird, risky choices. From short-form content to Super Bowl spots, Quinn has helmed spots for brands like Smirnoff, Downy, Progressive, Saucony, Frida, Groupon, and NYX’s popular ad for Duck Plump Lip Gloss starring Cardi B.
Quinn Katherman on signing with the next-gen production company remarked:
“ArtClass has electric energy – like the cool kids who are also deeply kind and just want to make great stuff. They’re fearless, funny, and ready to flip the script on the conventional. Kirsten [Arongino] is a leader with vision, guts, and heart – the trifecta. And I’ve always admired Vince [Peone]’s hair (and talent, but mostly hair). I feel very lucky to be here.”
ArtClass Managing Director Kirsten Arongino added:
“Quinn is one of those rare creatives who can make you laugh hard and think harder. Coming from the agency side myself, I know how valuable that background is—it gives her a shorthand with creatives and clients that’s gold when you’re under pressure. She’s bold, wildly funny, and deeply collaborative—exactly the kind of director you want in the trenches with you. We’re thrilled she chose ArtClass as her home.”
