BBH and GIC Launch First Public Exhibition on Singapore's Financial Future
Oct. 27, 2026
BBH partnered with GIC to launch an interactive, multi-sensory exhibition telling the story behind Singapore’s reserves and financial future.
The immersive exhibition marks GIC’s 45th anniversary, and showcases the work behind safeguarding and growing Singapore’s reserves and stewarding its financial future.
Designed around young Singaporeans’ appetite for discovery and immersive experiences, the exhibition, entitled The Secret Vault, tells the story of the world’s first non-commodity sovereign wealth fund across six interactive chambers.
Visitors can uncover how a single torn dollar bill changed the course of Singapore’s financial history, as well as other bold stories from the past, in the Archive. They also get to immerse themselves in decades of market volatility, brought to life as sun, wind, rain, and a whirlwind of headlines from the past 45 years, in the Weather Room.
The exhibition invites visitors to learn about the impact of inflation with a grocery shopping simulation game in the Global Inflation Hypermart. Then, in the Steward’s Gardens, they have to find their way through a maze of hidden risks before experiencing first-hand the importance of long-term thinking to nurture growth. Visitors can also discover some of the recognisable brands in GIC’s global portfolio with the Globe, and reflect on their own hopes for the future by writing and securing them within a digital horizon, in the Reserves of Tomorrow.

The Secret Vault is the GIC’s first public exhibition, and takes place at New Bahru’s School Hall in Singapore from 10 October to 1 November 2026. Entry is free, and visitors can register for their preferred time slot at thesecretvault.gic.com.sg.
The exhibition is supported by an integrated campaign across digital, social and OOH touchpoints. Created by BBH Singapore, the ad campaign features outdoor ads on trains, stations, and bus stops, targeting areas with high footfall from young Singaporeans. Beyond digital ads on Meta and TikTok, a creator content partnership was rolled out to drive interest and highlight the relevance of GIC for young Singaporeans.
Janson Choo, ECD, BBH Singapore, said:
“Reserves management isn’t an everyday topic for most young Singaporeans. So rather than explain GIC, we wanted people to walk through it: to shop against inflation, stand in the storm, find their way through risk, and watch patience bloom. The best way to understand long-term thinking is to experience it.”
