Brand Champions Doubles Annual Revenue to £3 Million as Demand for Flexible Marketing Expertise Grows
Oct. 06, 2026
Brand Champions has doubled its annual revenue year on year, growing from £1.5 million in 2025 to £3 million already in 2026, driven by rising demand for flexible, on-demand marketing expertise.
The agency has also expanded its team from 16 to 40 Champions since the start of 2026 and added six major new clients across agriculture, hospitality, pharmaceuticals and the creative industries, including Popeyes, Dexcom, Stada, Kew Green Hotels and AB Nutrition.
The company’s growth comes as more organisations turn to onboarding experienced marketing specialists for defined projects or stages of growth, rather than committing to permanent hires. Heidrick & Struggles’ 2026 High-End Independent Talent Report found that requests for interim CMOs had risen by 100% year on year, while requests for interim marketing and sales leaders increased by 33%.
Fiona Wylie, founder and CEO of Brand Champions said:
"The doubling of our revenue reflects a much broader change in how businesses are building their marketing teams. Companies are increasingly asking what expertise they need, when they need it and for how long, rather than assuming every capability must come through another permanent hire. We are seeing fractional support move from reactive gap-filling to a planned part of how organisations build their marketing capability. Clients still want people who understand their business, take ownership and work as part of the team, but they also need greater speed and flexibility. The model works for talent too. Experienced marketers can build more flexible and varied careers without stepping away from complex, high-impact work. That helps us attract and retain top people while giving clients access to expertise that may otherwise be difficult to secure.”
