With three years of experimentation, community and action under its belt, Creatives for Climate is back for its third summit - and the first since it became an official non-profit foundation - to be hosted at EQUALS Amsterdam on November 10th.

Running alongside COP27, this gathering of changemakers is an opportunity for cross-sector professionals, from creatives and communications experts, to NGOs and sustainability strategists to connect around their significant roles as storytellers and solutionists.

Creatives for Climate was born in 2019 as a Summit at Patagonia HQ in Amsterdam. The first event was a call to arms to communicators and led the industry to declare a climate emergency.

Since then, the creative climate activism movement has exploded, and Creatives for Climate has become a Dutch Stichting, finding form as a nonprofit, learning platform and advocacy organization with thousands of members worldwide - offering world-class courses, events, community and creative solutions to the climate crisis.

Kate Orme, Creatives for Climate Programme Director said:

“Powerful climate communications are what is needed to move the needle on the ecological emergency - but this requires a complex and ever changing skill set not widely taught or championed. Creatives for Climate is here to bridge this resource gap.”

The summit on 10 November will bring 100 industry impact-makers together with Creatives for Climate partners Clean Creatives, Badvertising, and Greenpeace to reflect on the collective shift from awareness to action, and ask: what does it mean to use our creativity for good, right now, as the climate emergency accelerates?

Moderated by Jelani Isaacs from New Film Amsterdam, Creatives for Climate director Lucy von Sturmer (The Humblebrag and Creatives for Climate founder) will unveil a new roadmap and action plan to achieve the community’s goal of reskilling one million creative professionals to tackle greenwashing and use their creativity for climate action by 2030

The Creatives for Climate network has lived, and led, the shift in sustainability from awareness to action; the time has come once again to spur collective action and open ideation as a community of leaders on the ways creatives and sustainability experts can unite to use their skills, knowledge, platform and power to drive change.
