Cut+Run Promotes Ellese Shell & Marcia Wigley to EP & HOP
Jun. 04, 2019
Cut+Run’s New York office is excited to announce two heartfelt and deserved promotions. Ellese Shell has been named Executive Producer and Marcia Wigley has assumed the role of Head of Production.
Ellese (Jobin) Shell started her career at Cut+Run. Working her way from front desk to head of production, Ellese has been an integral part of the company from the beginning. Ellese immediately connected with “the magic that each editor brings to the craft.” As Head of Production, she was appreciated for her ability to empower people to bring their best to each project.
Marcia Wigley is a New York native whose life-long passion for film was explored as a Cinema Studies major and in her early career in production for Paramount and Viacom. Marcia found her true calling and community in post production, producing a wide variety of projects at Lost Planet and the Whitehouse before joining Cut+Run. The role of Head of Production is a natural evolution for someone known by all to be committed to mentoring and contributing to Cut+Run’s positive culture.
Managing Director Lauren Hertzberg notes:
“Ellese has been the heart and soul of this office for years and we are so proud to have watched her grow from an amazing producer into a thoughtful leader and manager. And Marcia has such a passion for talent development and the happiness of everyone at Cut+Run New York. This role is a natural fit for her.”
Ellese Shell says:
“It sounds like a cliché to say Cut+Run feels like a big family, but it’s true. And there’s nothing better than supporting the artists and relationships that are an essential part of bringing ideas to life.”
Marcia Wigley relates:
“This is a hugely dedicated team who care about each other’s well-being and the success and growth of the company. Supporting and nurturing talent is a key aspect of the Head of Production role and for me, there’s nothing more rewarding than drawing out the best in people.”
