Jan. 28, 2025
Award-winning global editorial company Cut+Run has added Crissy DeSimone as its newest Executive Producer. Based in LA, DeSimone is set to spearhead new exciting growth opportunities and provide Cut+Run’s West Coast roster with unmatched support and vision.
Originally from New York, DeSimone has been a go-to name in post-production in Los Angeles for over twenty years. Her storied career began as a receptionist at Post Logic, where she fell in love with editing. From there, she served as a producer at several post houses, later becoming an Executive Producer at Rock Paper Scissors, NO6, and eventually Arcade Edit. Fervently dedicated to the creative process, DeSimone’s collective post-production experience bears the mark of her hands-on approach as an EP and her passion for editing as an art form.
In her new role at Cut+Run, DeSimone aims to maintain the company’s legacy of producing high-caliber editing work while enhancing the careers of its rostered talent. Her ethos as a producer is built on trusting and empowering artists and fellow producers to execute their work while availing herself to solve creative problems. Throughout her career, DeSimone has thrived on pursuing leads and pairing the right talent with each project to make the best films possible and refining each cut. A select list of brands she has collaborated with includes Indeed, DirecTV, Amazon, AT&T, Reeses, Sam Adams, Toyota, Comcast, Service Now, Doritos, Cheetos, Apple, Disney, Twix, Jack in the Box, Chipotle, Nike, Turbo Tax, and Corona.
DeSimone remarks on joining the company:
“I have always heard great things about Cut+Run. The work they produce and the people who work there are top of the line. After meeting with them, it immediately felt like a perfect fit. Everyone here is talented, forward-thinking, and fun. I look forward to learning everyone’s style, finding the best new projects, and helping Cut+Run grow and evolve in the coming years.”
Amburr Farls, Managing Partner at Cut+Run, added:
“Welcoming a veteran creative EP in LA is theperfect way to kick off 2025 for Cut+Run, and we’re so excited that Crissy has joined the fam! She brings a unique blend of expertise and warmth that fosters real collaboration. With her deep industry roots and in-the-trenches leadership style, Crissy’s approach to both the craft and the team makes her such a great fit for us.”
