Dress Code Welcomes Award-Winning Illustrator and Animator Limbert Fabian to Roster
Apr. 10, 2024
Production company Dress Code is thrilled to welcome animation director Limbert Fabian to its roster for commercial representation across the United States and Canada.
Hailing from New York City with roots in the Dominican Republic, Limbert brings a wealth of experience as an illustrator and Emmy Award-winning creative director, boasting a diverse skill set across multiple disciplines. His journey began at the Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Illustration before delving into the world of film and animation.
Limbert honed his expertise in visual effects and CGI animation, seamlessly blending his illustration prowess with a passion for storytelling. His passion lies in creating appealing character performances and crafting elegant camera work, as best demonstrated in his directorial work for Chipotle’s, “The Scarecrow”, which won a slew of advertising awards including a prestigious Cannes Lions, Clio, and two Emmy awards.
Notably, Limbert’s foray into virtual reality earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Emerging Media Program for "MLK: Now Is The Time" with Meta and Time Studios, underscoring his commitment to innovative storytelling. The project is an immersive experience that challenges audiences to re-examine Martin Luther King’s iconic speech, through a thought-provoking modern lens.
Alongside fellow character-based directors on Dress Code’s roster, Vincenzo Lodigiani and Cecilia Fletcher, Limbert plans to continue expanding character & story driven animation work the studio loves and is known for, collaborating with the creative team on select projects that leverage the production company’s mutual capabilities. His passion for blending technology, art, and design aligns seamlessly with Dress Code's ethos, fostering an environment dedicated to experimentation and creativity. Currently, Limbert is developing a feature length film as half of InBetween, with long time collaborating partner Brandon Oldenburg, in order to tell stories in both traditional and immersive venues.
Limbert Fabian, director at Dress Code, comments:
“I was immediately impressed by Dress Code’s work. Their high-quality productions and design aesthetic resonated with me. As a director, their boutique and intimate atmosphere felt like a great fit. Plus, being headquartered in New York City, my hometown where my family still resides, was an added bonus. It seemed like a serendipitous connection.”
