Jan. 14, 2020

Serviceplan Spain has hired Emilio Valverde as the new Executive Creative Director, with the responsibility of leading the Spanish creative team, as well as overseeing its international relationship with the German parent Company, Serviceplan Group. The agency became Serviceplan Spain towards the end of last year after the European group bought most of its shares.

Renowned for its digital, creative and technological focus, and with the aim of creating relevant communication for national and international brands, Serviceplan Spain is now the first Spanish-German agency that offers brands innovative tools and Übercreativity. Serviceplan defines Übercreativity as a new kind of innovation that is brought about when different disciplines, cultures, talents, technologies and media interact with one another.

Serviceplan Spain’s new Executive Creative Director Emilio Valverde is delighted to be a part of the large international group.

Emilio Valverde explains:

“The challenge is simple: the Serviceplan brand is strong and extraordinarily creative in Europe, we just need to follow suit here. It is bold ideas that appeal to our emotions, ideas that don’t leave us indifferent, that have the power to not only transform brands, but transform the world”.

An internationally renowned creative, Emilio Valverde is returning to Spain from Mullen Lowe London and following 8 years of developing his career in Brazil and the UK. His international career started in 2012 when he moved to the WMcCann office in Rio de Janeiro, where he was the Creative Director for clients such as Sprite LATAM, Coca-Cola Brazil and L’Oréal Paris. Another international agency that he has worked for is Ogilvy, also based in the Rio de Janeiro office, where he created the global campaign for Coca-Cola for the 2016 Rio Olympics, and worked for brands such as Schweppes, Fanta and GSK. He then moved to Mullen Lowe London, where he won accounts for the agency such as Pearson and The Singleton, and worked for clients such as Sloggi, Amazon Prime Video, Unilever (Sun, Glorix, Sure), Wagamama and the NHS, among others.

In his 20 years as a creative he has led the most diverse and talented creative teams, both on a national and international level, in order to build powerful brands. Valverde is coming back to Spain to the agency which kick-stated his career (formerly Publips), during which time he worked for brands such as Amstel, the Valencia Tourism board, Palau de la Música, Mediterranean Savings Bank and Valencia City Council. After that time, he moved to FCB Tapsa where he won Spanish and international awards for his work with brands like Iberia, Televisión Española, Carlsberg, Nivea, Johnson's, Cepsa and Endesa. He then worked for McCann Erikson Madrid where he collaborated with Spanish clients such as Coca-Cola, Movistar and Repsol as well as international brands such as Coca-Cola México & LATAM, Nescafé and General Motors, among others.
