Ernest has Added to his Team Quique Torres as New Social Creative Director
Jan. 31, 2023
Today the agency is announcing the incorporation of Quique Torres as Social Creative Director, who first rose to popularity as community manager for Cruzcampo, and subsequently for the Late Motiv programme, together with Andreu Buenafuente.
In his role, Quique will spearhead the creative department’s social media work, coming up with ideas, content and formats on the existing platforms and those yet to come. Furthermore, he will seek out opportunities for brands to squeeze their full potential out of social media through creativity and special actions. He will blaze new trails and provide solutions for clients who want to create or reinvent their brand in the realm of social media.
Quique Torres said:
"When they called me from Ernest and told me about the project, and the creative and refreshing approach that they want to take towards social media, I felt like it was the perfect fit. There was an immediate harmony with the team. The fact that people who are so good at what they do have placed their trust in me so resolutely obviously brings great responsibility, but above all it gives me tremendous joy. I’m very happy."
Nacho Guilló, CCO, said:
"The good thing about starting afresh is that we could rethink the profiles we were keen to work with and bringing in Quique is part of that desire to continue to try to forge new paths so that creativity is always at the core, whatever medium we have in mind."
Borja Lopez-Gomez, Head of Social & e-Commerce, said:
"At Ernest we can’t picture social mediawithout creativity, given that it’s fundamental to building active communities and getting their members to identify with you. Quique’s arrival injects us with that massive dose of creativity, as well as his passion for social media, which means that his work connects the two worlds in a natural way, creating truly differentiated content and actions."
David Martos, assistant director of "Nadie Sabe Nada", a programme by Andreu Buenafuente and Berto Romero, added:
“Quique is brilliance personified. Delegating in him creative tasks gives you peace of mind and means you can be sure that all the ideas will make an impression. He gets involved, he’s a good colleague and, above all, he’s fun to be with. What more can you ask for?.”
Juan Pedro Moreno, ECD of Ogilvy, said:
"Quique makes a virtue out of the unexpected. He got into social media by chance and social media fell in love with him. Savoir faire, cheek, temperament and plenty of sarcasm. The perfect fit; just like that. When on more than one occasion (and more than two) you’ve wondered, why didn’t I think of that? That’s a good sign."
Juan Luis Cano, journalist and member of the Gomaespuma duo, said:
"Quique Torres Balao is a great creative; he’s smart, gifted, different and undoubtedly has a very promising future, even if his present suggests quite the opposite. I’ve worked with him for several years and can promise – and he hasn’t blackmailed me into saying this by threatening to reveal compromising details about by private life, rather I do so gladly and because it’s what I believe – that his inventiveness is downright impressive."
