Gerety Awards Presents Gerety Talks: With Shushan Harutyunyan

Gerety Talks on Tuesday, March 8 with Shushan Harutyunyan, Chief Communications Officer, Galaxy Group of Companies (Armenia, Georgia, Belarus).

Just like the award show, the Gerety Talks series puts some of the marketing and creative industry's true changemakers in the spotlight - and at the center of the conversation - with the aim to drive progress within the industry on a global scale. The series will bring together agency and brand leaders from around the globe for a refreshing take on what leadership looks like.

Shushan Harutyunyan is the Chief Communications Officer of Galaxy Group of Companies, a high impact conglomerate that manages 15 companies in Armenia, Georgia and Belarus. Shushan leads the Communications and Reputation management of the group - supporting and controlling content, data and markets as well as boosting sustainable projects for the well-being of the community.

Shushan's professional portfolio includes establishment and rebranding of more than 30 companies, successful campaigns for public reforms, winning elections, lobbing for public policy change in EU territory, commercial and development projects, corporate change management cases among others.

Shushan is also an adjunct professor in Corporate Communications at the Yerevan State University․

Prior to her work at Galaxy, in the last 13 years Shushan held various executive leadership positions in Yerevan, Brussels, Warsaw and Budapest, including serving as the Communications Director at the Breavis management consultancy company, Deputy Editor in Chief at the Forbes Armenia, a Contributor at Newsweek Poland, among others. She started her career as a News anchor at a local TV network.

Shushan is an alumnus of the Oxford University's Center of Corporate Reputation, Said Business School (Executive Education). Shushan holds an MA in Anthropology from Central European University, BA in Journalism from Yerevan State University.

She co-authored "Studies in Biopolitics" book, published by CELAB (2011). She is also the author of "Nobody Steals It from You: You Give It for Free" book about data and privacy, published by Lambert Academic Publishing (2016).
