Goteborg Film Festival Announces New Residencies for Ukrainian Filmmakers

For the fourth consecutive summer, Göteborg Film Fund welcomes three Ukrainian filmmakers to work on their projects in Göteborg. Several previous participants–such as Tonia Noyabrova, Svitlana Lishchynska and Olga Chernykh/Maryna Brodovska now have ongoing collaborations with Swedish co-producers for their upcoming projects.
The call is open for Ukrainian directors or screenwriters of feature fiction or feature documentary projects, at any stage of production. The residencies will take place in August-September 2025.
Each residency consist of:
- Two-month stay in Göteborg, with apartment and per diem (SEK 10,000/month)
- Travel costs to and from Göteborg
- Workspace at Göteborg Film Festival’s office
- Networking opportunities with the local film industry
- Individual coaching
The residencies are organised with financing from Region Västra Götaland, in cooperation with Företagsbostäder and the Film Office – The City of Gothenburg.
