gpstudio unveils giant paper flowers installation in new ArchWindow exhibition
May. 08, 2017
Design agency gpstudio has unveiled a new installation in its ArchWindow exhibition space by PVM, showcasing a series oversized handmade paper flower garlands, just in time for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
PVM (Paperpoms Visual Merchandise) has created paper flower installations for the likes of Jimmy Choo, Benetton, Harvey Nichols and Ralph Lauren, and is now filling the windows of gpstudio with a giant crepe paper peony, rose and forget-me-not, inspired by 16th Century Dutch masters still life paintings. The installation will be in place until end of June.

Juliet Carr, founder of PVM, said:
"I created the design for this installation after being struck by a quote by French philosopher Albert Camus: 'In the midst of winter, I found there was within me, an invincible summer. And I felt this must resonate with all RHS landscape designers creating their forthcoming Chelsea Flower Show gardens; their cultivated seeds, plants and flowers have laid dormant in winter, and now after meticulous nurturing will be ready to bloom for their showcasing and possible gold medal.”
Gregor Jackson, founding partner of gpstudio, said:
"We are very pleased to welcome the work of Juliet and her team. Against the backdrop of spring, London Craft Week, and Chelsea Flower Show this installation felt very timely to showcase the incredible work of PVM. Furthermore as a retail design agency, currently working with the likes of the Royal Horticultural Society, it provides an inspirational backdrop for the design team and studio visitors alike."
