Landor Appoints Emma Ellis to Lead London with Focus on Brand-Led Growth and Business Performance
May. 14, 2026
Landor, the world-leading brand and design consultancy – part of WPP Brand & Design – has appointed Emma Ellis as Managing Director, London, as the business continues to strengthen its UK leadership team at a time when organisations are placing renewed focus on brand as a driver of business performance.
Ellis joins from Interbrand, where she was President and Managing Partner, London, to lead Landor’s London studio, a key global hub within the business. She will report to Amal Atallah, President, EMEA, WPP Brand & Design, who previously held the role.
The appointment reflects Landor’s continued focus on helping clients build more distinctive, multi-sensory and future-ready brands that move people and influence both human and agentic choice in an increasingly automated world.
Emma Ellis, Managing Director, London, Landor said:
“What drew me to Landor is its ability to create real-world brand experiences that connect strategy and creativity to deliver stronger brand performance. As organisations face increasing pressure to prove the value of every investment, brand has a critical role to play in driving growth, differentiation and long-term resilience."
Ellis continued:
"With as many decisions shaped by algorithms as people, the need for distinctive, consistent brands has never been greater. I’m excited to build on the London studio’s momentum, strengthen client partnerships and help organisations unlock the full performance of their brand."
Ellis spent nearly 13 years at Interbrand in a series of senior leadership roles, with expertise spanning brand leadership, client experience and growth across London and Europe. An experienced commercial leader, she has shaped brand strategies that drive business growth, strengthen client partnerships and create long-term value, working closely with C-suite leaders across organisations.
Amal Atallah, President, EMEA, WPP Brand & Design, added:
“Emma brings a rare combination of strategic rigour, client leadership and commercial instinct, alongside a deep understanding of how brands create business value. London is one of Landor’s most important global hubs, and Emma is exceptionally well placed to lead the studio through its next phase of growth. Her experience building enduring client relationships and driving brand-led transformation makes her a fantastic fit for the business and our clients.”
In her new role, Ellis will be responsible for the overall performance of the London studio, setting the strategic vision for the UK business and overseeing global, regional and local client relationships. She will work closely with teams across the network and with partners across WPP Brand & Design and WPP Creative to drive collaboration, share best practices, and deliver consistent, high-impact work across every touchpoint.
Ellis will focus on driving success with clients and building strong partnerships, while ensuring the London studio continues to deliver outstanding, innovative, brand-led work. She will also champion the adoption of technology and AI, including WPP Open, to enhance effectiveness and efficiency across the business.
She will oversee the London studio’s senior leadership team, ensuring the business is operationally set up to deliver against its strategic plan and budget expectations, and to produce world-class, award-winning solutions for clients.
The appointment comes at a time when businesses are under increasing pressure to prove the impact of brand investment on business performance, as marketing shifts from short-term optimisation to long-term value.
Jane Geraghty, Global CEO, WPP Brand & Design and Global CEO, Landor said:
"Brand consulting and world-class design are firmly back on our clients’ agendas as businesses look for new ways to drive growth and differentiation. Emma brings an exceptional track record in global branding and client leadership, and will play a central role in the continued success of Landor London as one of our most important global studios."
