Late Shift Co-Founders, Executive Producer John Hollingsworth, and Director Matt Genesis welcome Director Sophia Prestwich to their roster. Known for her deeply personal and beautifully understated approach to commercial filmmaking, Sophia has a talent for capturing raw, authentic moments that makes her work feel truly spontaneous. Her work is often shaped by the female perspective which can be seen in notable campaigns for Pressed Floral, Noe Bad Vibes Run Club, Saranoni, and MixHers.

John shared:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Sophia Prestwich to the Late Shift roster. Sophia has an incredible ability to capture intimate moments with a style that feels beautifully impactful. Her work often reflects her unique perspective as a mother and her passion for exploring women’s stories, and it’s this authenticity that makes her work so special. She’s developed a stunning, unmistakable voice as a filmmaker, and we’re beyond excited to collaborate with her and see the unforgettable projects we’ll create together.”

Originally from Essex (U.K.), Sophia discovered her passion for filmmaking at the early age of 13 after being gifted a VHS camera. As she developed her eye for narrative storytelling throughout her adolescence, she pursued a film education in the U.S., where she honed her love for documentary filmmaking. Since then, she has dedicated her career to storytelling with a focus on amplifying female perspectives. Inspired by motherhood, Sophia continues to evolve as a filmmaker and director, driven by the motivation to set an example for her daughter—showing her the importance of following your dreams.

Sophia expressed:

“Signing with Late Shift feels really exciting because John and Matt are people I know who believe in me. The morals and values they have at Late Shift are all principles that align with my own so I am feeling so grateful to have joined their roster and can’t wait to see what we can all make together!”

Matt said:

“When you experience a project directed by Sophia Prestwich, you are left feeling inspired and curious about the human condition. She has a way of making scripted content feel ultimately personal. She relates with her subjects in a stunningly intimate way that gives you an inside look at a new perspective. I am so excited to see what she makes next and I think the world will benefit from the work she creates.”
