LEGOLAND Resorts North America Selects Cornett as Agency of Record
Aug. 22, 2022
Creative agency Cornett has won the LEGOLAND Resorts North America account, owner and President Christy Hiler announced today. The agency won the account after a competitive pitch and is now creative AOR for the company’s three U.S. resorts: California, Florida and New York. LEGOLAND is part of Merlin Entertainments Ltd., the second largest attraction operator in the world after Disney.
Peter Koch, vice president of Marketing, LEGOLAND Resorts of North America, said:
“Cornett impressed us with their strategic leadership paired with a good sense of creativity off the beaten path. We are convinced that the team will be a great fit to the LEGOLAND brand.” Cornett began working on the account August 1, 2022, and the first work will break in 2023. UM remains their media agency."
The LEGOLAND team met with agencies in July to assess their capabilities and chemistry for a long-term partnership. The search consultant was Pete Carter, founder of Creative Haystack, LLC.
Pete said:
“Throughout my ‘no-pitch’ search process, the Cornett team demonstrated an unparalleled level of tourism experience, intuitive consumer insight, and a genuine passion for the LEGOLAND brand.”
Founded in 1984, Cornett specializes in creating, restoring and maintaining relevance for brands such as Gannett, Busch Light, A&W Restaurants, Tempur Sealy and more.
