Mirimar Continues to Build Momentum with Creative Hires Chris Mead and Kristopher Wong
Apr. 10, 2024
Emmy Award-winning independent agency MIRIMAR has hired Chris Mead and Kristopher Wong, an award-winning creative director team. They joined to lead the Priceline AOR work and multiple new business efforts.
The pair has been in a creative partnership since 2017 when a former agency placed them together like two pandas in an experimental zoo program. The experiment was a success, and Mead and Wong went on to create campaigns for Kia, Samsung, the U.S. Forest Service, and White Claw. Their work has been recognized by the One Show, D&AD, ANDYs, LIA, and the Webbys.
ECD and partner Nick Morrissey said:
“Kris and Chris are a creative director’s dream. A dream team.”
Founder and CCO John McKelvey added:
“They’re smart, funny, and dedicated to making the best work out of every opportunity.”
At MIRIMAR, they’re now leading Priceline’s award-winning brand work featuring Kaley Cuoco.
Wong said:
“It’s a privilege to work with like-minded people who share the same goal—to make award-winning work while thoroughly enjoying the process.”
Mead added:
“There are few things I love more than a great idea that's amazingly crafted. I'm so happy to be part of a shop that shares that love and seeks to accomplish it in everything we do.”
MIRIMAR works with brands at the intersection of advertising and entertainment creating notable award-winning work for Apple TV+, Priceline, Speedos, Klarna, Squarespace, Gopuff, Expensify, and Faire La Fête. They were named Cannes Lions Independent Agency of the Year - Entertainment for 2022, Ad Age’s Small Agency of the Year 2022, and named one of Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies.
