Outsider Editorial Adds Cam Anderson to Roster

Outsider Editorial Adds Cam Anderson to Roster

May. 18, 2022

Global editing boutique Outsider Editorial adds Cam Anderson to its roster. Cam Anderson marks the third addition to Outsider’s roster since it opened its doors in 2018. He has already worked on campaigns with some of the best directors and clients in North America, including Director Mark Zibert for Telus and Goh Iromoto for Sinai Health.

Cam joined Outsider after departing Cossette as in-house Editor at Soda Post. He arrived as a Senior Assistant Editor with his sights set firmly on becoming a part of Outsider’s boutique roster - a great move as it turns out for all involved. An instant fit into Outsider’s company culture, Cam rose through the ranks fast, with his work ethic, charm, and energy making him a hit with creatives, directors, and producers alike.

Cam showcases a truly versatile approach to craft and storytelling. One project he considers particularly noteworthy is Sinai Health’s first ever campaign, ‘See What Care Can Do’. Directed by Goh Iromoto, the films capture the beautiful and emotional stories of several patients who have relied on the hospital network’s services. Cam worked on ‘My Name’, representing the inspiring journey of one patient learning to live with the language disorder Aphasia. Taking pride in editing an accurate representation of trials and tribulations alike, Cam’s endeavor was positively received from the patient’s loved ones and the public.

Cam is excited to help Outsider grow its reputation while continuing to establish his own presence in the industry. Showcasing passion and personality across every aspect of his job, he’ll also look to build new relationships with creative partners and strengthen those he has already forged. When not obsessing over edits, he can be found down the street at the local rock climbing gym or talking shop about the Leafs with anyone who’ll listen.

Cam Anderson remembers:

“What appealed to me about joining Outsider Editorial was the promise of growth. Over my past three years at the company, I have grown significantly as an Editor, and that is thanks to the time and effort put into my development by the partners. As I step into my role as editor, I know that this will only continue.”

Chris Murphy, Partner and Editor at Outsider Editorial, comments:

“Cam’s sense of humor and raw talent make him a natural editor. He’s a versatile storyteller and wise beyond his years, running the room in a session. It’s no wonder his client base is growing so quickly with repeat collaborators. Being able to play in any style a film demands, Cam helps bolster our editorial offering.”

Kristina Anzlinger, Partner and Executive Producer at Outsider Editorial, adds:

“We love the idea of nurturing home-grown talent. It’s important for Outsider Editorial’s growth as we continue to venture into new markets and expand our client base. We’re a boutique shop with lofty goals and Cam fits right into this team mentality. We’re excited to see Cam make a splash and continue to chase our collective dreams as a company.”
