Reverie Content Welcomes Director Femke Huurdeman

Reverie Content is pleased to announce that director Femke Huurdeman has signed on for commercial representation. Femke's ability to synthesize culture from fashion, photography, architecture, or even the news into films gives her work a distinct sensorial quality. She balances narrative instinct with a close eye for human nature, grounding surreal visuals and dark humor in something real. Her highly specific production design, well-crafted cinematography, and conceptual world-building sensibilities set her work apart.

Reverie Content Co-Founder and EP Cathleen O’Conor Stern elaborates:

“Femke knows exactly how she wants a story to feel and how each frame should be composed to allow the viewer to experience that feeling. She commands her set with clarity of vision and a calm kindness that lets each crew member excel in their craft. Having just wrapped our first shoot together, there was a familiarity, as if this wasn't our first one, which certainly makes us excited for the next. It is an absolute pleasure to collaborate and produce with her.”

From early on, her work focused on concept development and visualization of brand identity. Combined with an eclectic array of inspiration and a reverence for international cinema, Femke crafted an idiosyncratic visual style, creating brand films and spots for Missoni/Vogue Italy, Shiseido, Levi’s, Amazon, Libresse, Coca-Cola, JBL, Nike, Zara, and Stella McCartney. She has also helmed music videos for Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid’s “Mirror” and “It Gets Dark,” as well as music videos for violinist and singer Sudan Archives’ “Limitless” and “Honey.”

Femke Huurdeman says on joining Reverie Content:

“It was actually serendipitous, as most things have been in my life. In June this year, I worked with Adeeb Hofmeyer, the same chaperone who had worked with the Reverie team prior, out of Cape Town. He mentioned that I should meet Cathleen [O’Conor Stern]. She, Rich [Pring], and I are all kindred spirits who work with the same film family across the world. I knew they were the people I wanted to work with.”
