Revolver Films Signs Director Kelsey Larkin
Oct. 25, 2024
Revolver Films has signed director Kelsey Larkin for representation across advertising and music videos in Canada.
Kelsey lends her artistic vision to commercials, online content campaigns, music videos, and abstract short films. Explorations of raw emotion are her signature, dissecting ideas into their fundamental parts to curate moments that resonate on a deeper level, while audiences connect with her strong characters imbued with dignity and grace.
Most recently, Kelsey’s short film, ‘Oyster’, made for her son Jack, has been met with widespread acclaim, featured in Berlin Commercial Awards’ official shortlist, Shots, and Beyond the Short. Her work for Canadian Women’s Foundation, Knix, and Just Dance also raked in wins, earning awards at the Effies, Young Director Awards, The One Show, ADCC, CMA Awards, Merit Marketing Awards, and Communication Arts – with an Immortal Awards shortlist to top it off.
Kelsey commented, “As a director that moves between advertising and filmmaking, teaming up with Revolver – a company with strong foundations in both aspects – instantly felt like home. Having personally known Luc and Richie for many years, joining Revolver has been kismet on all fronts. Their enthusiasm for creativity is exactly the kind of energy I can get behind, and I’m truly excited for what’s to come.”
Luc Frappier at Revolver said:
“The evolution in Kelsey’s work and her voice as a director has been nothing short of remarkable and I’m beyond thrilled to welcome her to Revolver and continue this creative exploration with her.”
Richard Cureton at Revolver, added:
“We have known Kelsey personally for years, during which time we have witnessed her evolution into an exceptional director. Her creative endeavours have garnered international recognition, underscoring her talent and vision. We share an appreciation for the craft of storytelling and creativity, and we are committed to facilitating new opportunities that will enable her to showcase her distinctive style and abilities at the highest level.”
