SixTwentySix Welcomes Jimmy Tatro as Commercial Director
Aug. 19, 2026
Award-winning, bicoastal creative studio SixTwentySix today announced that it has signed Jimmy Tatro to its roster of commercial directors.
A versatile creative, Tatro is a writer, director, producer and actor who’s known for his distinct comedic perspective and work across digital media, film and television. He writes and directs his own projects, including all three seasons of “The Real Bros of Simi Valley,” which he created, directed and starred in. He first gained attention as the creator and star of the popular YouTube series “Life According to Jimmy.” The series, which he wrote, produced and directed with his friend, became a viral hit and led to a breakout role for Tatro in “22 Jump Street,” alongside Channing Tatum.
Other onscreen highlights include starring as the lead in the 2017 Netflix Original series “American Vandal,” for which Tatro received a Critics’ Choice Award nomination for Best Actor. Recent credits include Netflix’s series “The Hawk” and Paramount’s “Scream 7,” both in 2026. Tatro will also appear in upcoming projects, including Amazon MGM’s film “Judgment Day” and the much-anticipated “Gorilla Grodd” series from DC Comics, for which he will play the title character.
SixTwentySix Co-founder Jake Kras said:
"Tatro is a creative multihyphenate. One of the things that impressed us most about him is the incredible depth and range of perspective and creativity that he brings to visual storytelling. Whether it’s behind or in front of the camera, Tatro knows how to best capture and bring a story to life in new and unexpected ways."
Austin Barbera, co-founder and managing director at SixTwentySix added:
“Signing Jimmy Tatro marks a real milestone for SixTwentySix. The relationship started when we produced his directorial debut in the commercial space, Dunkin’s The Value Affleck campaign starring Ben Affleck and Jennifer Affleck, and watching him work made it clear he thinks like a filmmaker first. His instinct for performance, comedy, and what genuinely connects with an audience is exceptional."
Founded by Jake Krask and Austin Barbera, SixTwentySix is a full-service creative studio that has launched culturally driven and entertainment-forward campaigns for global brands such as Coca-Cola, Samsung, Amazon and Adidas. Recent high-profile projects include Dunkin’ Donuts’ high-energy “Dunk N’ Pump” campaign with Megan Thee Stallion and a 2026 Clio Award–winning activation for Nike at ComplexCon celebrating Lil Yachty’s Concrete Boys. The studio is known for its ability to operate at the intersection of brand, talent and storytelling and has notched industry honors spanning The One Show, Webbys, Tellys, The CICLOPE Festival and MTV VMAs.
