Aug. 22, 2023
Smile + Wave proudly announces the addition of Noah Kendal to its expanding editorial lineup for Canadian representation.
Hailing from The Beaches neighbourhood, Kendal has quickly gained recognition as one of Toronto's most promising up-and-coming editors, infusing his projects with a captivating blend of editorial creativity that fuses different genres of visual storytelling. By pushing the boundaries of traditional narratives, Kendal's work promises to break new ground for brands.
Kendal's collaboration with Smile + Wave comes on the heels of his remarkable success in the world of music videos. His contributions to projects for renowned artists such as Drake, Bad Bunny, Tainy, The Weeknd, J Balvin, and Dua Lipa have earned him significant recognition. Notably, his exceptional edit on Drake's "What's Next" video earned Kendal a nomination for Best Editing at the 2021 MTV Music Video Awards, further solidifying his reputation as an industry standout.
Building on his momentum, Kendal has impressively diversified his reel with a range of commercial projects. Noteworthy among these are collaborations with prominent brands like Dick's Sporting Goods out of New York's Anomaly directed by Maceo Frost for Knucklehead, Footlocker, directed by Division 7 director Ray Smiling, Asics x Reigning Champ, directed by Kid Studio, and SnapAR, for director Najeeb Tarazi. Additionally, his artful touch is evident in a stylish advertisement featuring Selena Gomez for Our Place.
Chris Van Dyke, Editor/Owner of Smile + Wave Post said:
