The D.O.R Beauty Edit Launches OKIKI Skincare, a new Sustainable Black-Owned Beauty Brand
Jul. 19, 2023
Online shopping destination – The D.O.R Beauty Edit has launched Okiki skincare, this July. Okiki Skincare offers an award-winning collection of handmade, organic products created using natural and cruelty-free ingredients from lotions and soaps to candles and bath salts. Their potent yet pure formulas are designed to protect and repair all skin types while nourishing from within.
What sets Okiki Skincare apart is its commitment to sustainability. The entire range is handmade in the UK and is free from harmful chemicals, artificial fragrances, and synthetic ingredients. Moreover, the brand prides itself on using only the highest quality recyclable glass and reusable packaging to house its precious products.
The brand is run by a mother-daughter team who are committed to blending natural ingredients while paying homage to their rich Nigerian heritage. Okiki means "prestigious" in Yoruba, and many of the products in the range are a nod to traditional recipes that their ancestors have used for generations.
One of Okiki Skincare’s notable achievements is its commitment to giving back to the environment. They donate £1 towards planting trees in Ghana with every large candle sale under the ‘One Tree Planted’ scheme; a non-profit organisation focused on global reforestation.
Denise Rabor, founder of The D.O.R Beauty Edit, said:
"Okiki Skincare is the epitome of a D.O.R. Beauty Edit brand: I love that this is a global, mother/daughter business that fuses Nigerian and Ghanaian heritage along with British influences to create wonderful, nature-based effective products. They have become part of my wellbeing toolkit, and they will become part of yours, too!"
