May. 31, 2022
Post production company WAX announces today that Maggie Sloane joins its roster of editors, further bolstering the company’s post production offering.
Crediting her rapid career progression to incredible mentors and clients who assisted in honing her editing skills, Maggie started her career interning at VFX house Ntropic, before moving onto Beast Editorial where she worked her way up to an assistant editor. Having turned her childhood love for film and editing into a career, she moved onto joining Friendshop and later N06, quickly advancing to an editor position.
Throughout her career Maggie has worked on a number of projects for distinguished agencies including McCann, Ogilvy, BBDO, editing for clients such as Verizon and Microsoft to name a few. Among some of her favourite projects are Annovera "Vagina Appreciation" with Whitney Cummings for McCann, CDW “People Who Get It” for Ogilvy and Visa "Everywhere You Want To Be" for BBDO.
Most recently Maggie has worked on Jungle Cruise &"En Route" for Disney/ESPN and "Brings You Closer to What You Love" spot for Microsoft.
Maggie Sloane, editor, WAX comments:
"I have been attracted to film and loved editing since I was an adolescent. After my internship at Ntropic, I discovered that I could in fact turn this hobby into a career. There are many things that I enjoy about editing, but I am most attracted to the process of solving "the puzzle". What makes editing even more special to me is that it's a collaborative process. So many people made that 30-second spot possible. I've always felt it is way more fun solving these puzzles together. I am thrilled to be joining the team at WAX and look forward to all the exciting projects we will embark on together. I trust the leadership, and I believe in the talent. Every day I have spent here, I've been welcomed and felt at home."
Toni Lipari, founder, WAX comments:
"Maggie’s varied experience complements the team at WAX perfectly. She is able to elevate any story through editing, giving it an artistic flair and successfully adding a comedic feel to it. It is so exciting to see a woman with such a strong comedy background thriving in an incredibly male-dominated genre. We are all thrilled to have her on board."
