We Are Social Makes Series of Production and Creative Hires and Promotions Following Year of Growth

Feb. 25, 2021

Global socially-led creative agency We Are Social has bolstered its creative and production offerings in the UK with a number of senior hires and promotions, following a year of significant client wins and more than 60 new hires.

Jo Lumb has been promoted to head of We Are Social Studios, the agency’s standalone production division. Previously executive producer, Lumb will now focus on leading the division through the oversight of all production output, as well as continued business growth and development. We Are Social Studios works with both We Are Social’s clients and its own, producing socially-led creative content for brands including LEGO, Dr Martens, Vodafone and Guinness over the last year.

Danielle Melia joins the agency as creative director, focused on LEGO, Kelloggs and Pringles. A through-the-line creative that previously held a senior creative role at Leo Burnett, Melia has worked with a number of leading agencies including AnalogFolk and OgilvyOne. We Are Social has also hired Angharad Salazar Llewellyn as editorial director across its Lidl and Forevermark accounts. She has previously held senior content roles for FMCG, retail and luxury brands, and recently worked on content strategies for Unilever, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Swarovski.

We Are Social has also made a series of senior promotions in its creative department. Sarah Hecks has moved to interim head of editorial (maternity cover), responsible for a department of 33 writers, community managers, editors, and directors, working across all the agency’s clients. Kenneth Moore has been promoted to creative director, overseeing creative output for a number of the agency’s flagship clients, including Guinness, Dr Martens and adidas. Dan Parker has been promoted to editorial director, leading We Are Social's sports-focused editorial team of 15 editors and writers, working with brands like adidas, Guinness and PlayStation.

Lucy Doubleday, managing partner, We Are Social said:

“In a year where production was incredibly challenging, We Are Social Studios thrived which is a huge testament to Jo’s leadership. She’s been involved with the division since it launched, has built an amazing team of producers, delivered huge campaigns for global brands. I know she’s going to take it to the next level this year.”

Gareth Leeding, executive creative director at We Are Social, said:

“It’s so rewarding to see great people progress through the agency and step into leadership roles. Sarah, Kenneth and Dan are all immensely talented and it’s been a pleasure working with them over the last few years. We’re also stoked to have Dani and Angharad join us. They bring a fresh perspective to some of our biggest clients and we’re so lucky to have them as part of our growing creative team.”
