We Are Social Promotes Lucy Doubleday to UK Managing Director

Sep. 09, 2025

Socially-led creative agency We Are Social has promoted Lucy Doubleday to managing director of its UK office.

Doubleday joined We Are Social in 2013 as operations director. She was later promoted to managing partner, overseeing the day-to-day running of We Are Social in the UK, with a particular focus on people, culture and the wellbeing of the team. In her new role, she will expand her remit to include working more closely with the agency’s client teams, and driving growth in both existing accounts and through new business opportunities.

Doubleday will head up the agency’s UK leadership, managing a team of five across client services, people and culture, strategy and creative.

Doubleday previously worked at Dare and JWT as a business director before joining We Are Social. She is passionate about supporting women in the industry through being an active mentor with BIMA and a participant in the Who’s Your Momma programme by SheSays.

At We Are Social she has introduced a Mentorship programme and a Menopause policy, and helps drive the agency's award-winning ED&I Charter for Change.

Doubleday will continue to report to Jim Coleman, the agency’s UK CEO.

Doubleday said:

“It's been an incredible journey so far, from when I joined the team ten years ago - while three months pregnant - to where we are today. I joined to be part of an agency whose work really shifts culture at the speed of social, and over the years we’ve succeeded in this. With constant evolution in social, there's always opportunities to learn and grow - and I’ve done both here over the years, surrounded by the best people in the business. I’m excited to help shape what comes next for us.”

Coleman commented:

“Lucy’s been an invaluable member of our leadership team for over a decade, helping us evolve through the early stages of growth into a mature agency. Not only is she focused on building the business from a strategic and commercial perspective, she’s also a compassionate and empathetic leader, who really cares about the team and is universally liked and respected. It’s a rare combination and we’re incredibly lucky to have her.”
