Britain, Fancy a Knockabout? Ask Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash in accessibility Campaign from LTA

LTA, the governing body of tennis in Britain, has launched a new advertising campaign encouraging families to give tennis a go. The accessibility campaign features the nation’s favourite celebrity couple, Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash giving tennis its own version of what a knockabout is for football, inviting Britain’s families to experience the fun to be had with a ball and a racket (or any similarly shaped object to hand).

Stacey and Joe, lead the charge in demonstrating that, as a family, playing tennis doesn’t need much to get started to be enjoyed. The “Knockabout” campaign films show them improvising a court, nets and rackets for a spontaneous game in the garden for some simple, free, fun with their children.

The national integrated campaign – created by advertising agency BMB - features a film, social, OOH, radio and influencer PR. The campaign runs throughout summer.

David Beattie, Creative Director at BMB said:

“We wanted to give tennis its own version of a knockabout, something easy, spontaneous, and open to everyone. ‘Fancy a Knockabout?’ is about showing families that tennis can fit around everyday life, wherever they are and whatever they have to hand. Stacey and Joe were the perfect people to bring that idea to life, showing that tennis doesn’t have to be complicated, it’s about having fun together on your own terms.”
