Hidden away in Venice, CA in a space that once belonged to Joni Mitchell sits Beacon Street Studios. The independent spirit of the folk movement has morphed into a creative space where composers John Nau and Andrew Feltenstein, and the Beacon Street team, work their musical magic. The two would meet, some 18 years ago, Feltenstein was working on songs in a studio while Nau was there to score a film. Becoming fast friends and collaborators they decided to open their own studio, a decision which paid off rather quickly as they secured a ready stream of commercial and film projects.
Commercially, Beacon Street Studios collaborates with all the major brands; Nike, Gatorade, Apple, Samsung, Amazon, Burger King, Coke, Verizon, and Google (to name a few). Having won a Clio Award, being nominated for an Emmy Award, and winning a Sports Emmy Award, Beacon Street Studios, is no stranger to being recognized for the caliber of work they bring to the table.
Being at the apex of the advertising industry, Nau and Feltenstein were eager to forge ahead in Film and Television. Their credits include ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES, starring Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate, the IFC series SPOILS OF BABYLON (for which they earned their first EMMY nomination), CASA DE MI PADRE, starring Will Ferrell, BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY, starring Olivia Wilde and Sam Rockwell, THE BRONZE for director Bryan Buckley, SLEEPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE starring Jason Sudeikis and Allison Brie, the Lauren Greenfield film KIDS AND MONEY, the BIG LOVE Christmas Album, and BACHELORETTE for director Leslye Headland, THE HOUSE with Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler, THE PIRATES OF SOMALIA for Bryan Buckley with Sony Pictures.
Most recently they finished DRUNK PARENTS with Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek, ACTION POINT with Johnny Knoxville and a great documentary called ANIMATION OUTLAWS.
Currently we are working on a comedy with Kristin Wiig, Annie Mumolo and Jamie Dornan through Lionsgate Entertainment.
