Happy Scrubs was founded by Harry Wright and Dave Evans who met as a result of the OKO mentoring app in January 2021.

Prior to meeting, Harry, an ex graduate of The Royal Ballet School and performing member of The Birmingham Royal Ballet Company found himself questioning his performing career. Having struggled with his mental health for some years, at the age of 21, Harry felt it was time for a change and decided to explore passions elsewhere.

During the first lockdown Harry and his mum made and donated 3000 face masks raising over £3000 for Hospice in the Weald - a charity very close to their hearts. This reignited a passion which brought him back to the reason he had fallen in love with ballet; the costumes.

Upon meeting Dave, Harry was driven to talk about his passions and together they identified that core to Harry was helping people and being creative, so Happy Scrubs was born.

Within 3 months Harry had designed and made their first run of 100 Happy Scrubs which they donated to Demelza House Children's Hospice. The response they received from the dedicated team of carers made them realise they had created something truly special, delivering on the objective of spreading joy and happiness to those in need.
