SPAR, originally DESPAR, is a Dutch multinational group that manages independently owned and operated food retail stores
The worldwide SPAR organisation SPAR operates more than 12,770 SPAR stores in over 45 countries on 4 continents and meets the needs of over 13,5 million consumers every day. The expansion of the organisation increased dramatically over the past twenty years and keeps growing, with a stated intention of being present in 50 countries in 2019.
The SPAR concept was established on the basis of wholesalers and retailers working in partnership to the benefit of all, including customers. The cornerstone of this partnership is a commitment to the open exchange of knowledge and information.
