Michael Kutschinski

Michael started his career training as a graphic designer and a typographer, and completed his studies in communication design and computer graphic design. After several years of freelancing, Michael started working as an User Interface Designer, Art Director and Motion Designer in a multimedia agency in 1991. He worked for numerous digital pioneering agencies such as Digital World, USWeb / CKS and Pixelpark Hamburg and New York.
In 2001 – after the dot-com bust – Michael went back to the advertising agency world and joined Jung von Matt as Executive Creative Director for the interactive Unit.
In January 2004 Michael joined Ogilvy. Today, he runs the creative departments of Ogilvy Germany. He serves as the Global Creative on a number of international accounts and is a member of the Worldwide Creative Council.
Michael has won every major international creative award as well as Agency Of The Year accolades during his career. He has been a judge for the Art Director’s Club, the Cannes Lions, The One Show and was the President of the Golden Drum.
Michael continues to find inspiration in observing and listening to people and their characteristics. He loves new digital gadgets and considers himself to be an early adoptor. He believes a creative needs more than one instrument to play creativity.
