Cerveza Patagonia Celebrates The Great Indoors This Earth Day
Apr. 20, 2020
This week marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, but for the first time in this day’s history, Earth lovers can actually do more good by staying indoors. We’re not hiking, biking or climbing – at least not outside.
Cerveza Patagonia is and always has been a beer brewed for the outdoor adventurer, the nature lover and Earth Day enthusiast. But this year the brand is encouraging people to bring The Great Outdoors, indoors with its new “The Great Indoors” campaign.
Through just released, one of a kind creative, the brand will share ways people can enjoy their favorite outdoor adventures indoors such as bathtub diving, bed camping, living room climbing, stovetop s’mores and window gazing. The campaign, which includes the hero content and short-form tutorial style content, is now live and will run across TV, digital and social media.
Award-winning creatives at GUT Miami conceived and produced the entire video campaign remotely, in collaboration with director Mike Piscitelli. Piscitelli shot all film and still photography while sheltered in place in his own home, using only what he had at hand. Each stage of production took place via videoconferencing platforms and was ultimately brought to life through shared computer screens.
As part of The Great Indoors initiative, the brand will continue to provide new innovative ways for people to enjoy nature from the safety of their own home during Earth Week. These will include launching virtual hikes, soundtracks of popular outdoor activities and providing soothing nature sounds on top Pandora stations.
Alex Monroy, Senior Brand Director, Cerveza Patagonia, said:
“For Cerveza Patagonia drinkers who crave outdoor adventures, this can be a challenging time but as a beer that inspires connection to nature from anywhere, we dreamed up a few ways people can get creative and enjoy their favorite adventures from The Great Indoors this year. We’re proud of our first campaign in partnership with our new AOR GUT Miami and hope it encourages people to enjoy Earth Day indoors.”
Juan Javier Peña Plaza, Executive Creative Director at GUT Miami, said:
“This production was definitely a first for us. We put a lot of trust in both our team as well as Mike, our amazing director, and that was the right way to do it. We couldn’t be prouder of the result, putting a relevant and inspiring message out there while keeping the whole team safe throughout the process.”
