83% of travelers say that reviews play an essential role in their booking. So agency Cornett has helped VisitLEX—the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau—go straight to the experts for an unprecedented batch of metaphysical travel reviews of the Horse Capital of the World.

Carrie Kenady, a renowned psychic medium who has appeared on the television series Fright Club (discovery+) and Ghost Brothers: Haunted Houseguests (Travel Channel), took her powers of extrasensory perception to Lexington’s Mill Ridge Farm to get the unbiased opinions of native Thoroughbreds, as well as those visiting for races, sales, and the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland. As the regular host of many major international equine events, Lexington attracts the best, most well-traveled horses from around the world.

Kenady, a Lexingtonian herself, has psychically connected with thousands of people and animal species over the course of her career.

Kenady said:

"I use the same muscle every time I tune into an animal or a person. It’s all telepathic communication. Animals show me symbols, words, and visual images. It’s really just an exchange of energy."

A video documenting the process was created as part of the campaign.

Thoroughbreds young and old were asked to convey their impressions of life in Lexington’s iconic bluegrass landscape with questions like “What do you think about Lexington’s scenery?” and “What do you think about the people here?”

“I like it better than Canada,” a Thoroughbred from America’s neighbor to the north responded telepathically. Others said, “It’s beautiful here,” and “The people are so friendly. I love it when they come to visit me.”

These comments and others were incorporated into a series of Google Review-style graphics for social running across the meta platform.

VisitLEX President Mary Quinn Ramer said:

"As Lexington prepares to welcome springtime travelers to our beautiful bluegrass landscape, we couldn’t think of a better way to entice future visitors to the Horse Capital of the World than with reviews straight from the horses’ mouths."

Visitors to Lexington can book public or private tours at many of the area’s most prestigious horse farms via Horse Country.
